The exhibition 《Through You: And Then I Will Live That Way》 begins with the question of how humans live with technologies and machines—whether we live well with them, and how we might. Rather than simply asking whether to criticize social problems brought about by technological development or to coexist with machines already deeply interwoven into daily life, it imagines the world beyond our present one and explores how we might look upon it.

When the most human (subjective) questions or gestures are rendered by AI as a technical tool, or when elements existing in digital space are presented through simulation, we become aware of how machines view society and of human desire reflected in virtual beings. Each “you” in the exhibition reveals different sociocultural aspects of how humanity confronts technological development and future scenarios. In the subtitle “And Then I Will Live That Way,” the “I”—whoever or whatever it may be—interacts through speculation about the virtual world and its subjects.
