The Surim Cultural Foundation announced on July 16 that artist Omyo Cho (real name: Jo Jung Hyun) has been selected as the winner of the 2020 Surim Art Prize.

Among 97 applicants, the foundation selected four finalists—Kim Wonjin, Kim Eunsook, Omyo Cho, and Hong Giwon—through a screening process. An exhibition featuring their works was held for one month at the Art Gallery of the Kim Hee Soo Memorial Surim Art Center, where the winner was ultimately chosen.
