The 《2024 Project Route 0,1,2》 is a project exhibition by the Seoho Museum of Art that seeks new understanding and interpretation at the intersection of nature and media art. This project examines both pathways and mathematical concepts simultaneously, interpreting them as independent routes as well as parts of a shared journey, starting from 《Route 0》 and continuing through 《Route 1》 and 《Route 2》.

The project begins in the beautiful natural environment of the Seoho Museum of Art in Namyangju, exploring how media art can engage in dialogue with nature and how this dialogue can change our perception. The solo exhibition of artist Gijeong Goo, 《Route 0》, marks the first path of this project, representing both the start and the end, suggesting a circular path that begins from nothing and returns to nothing. The artist visualizes an inner journey by exploring the relationship between nature, meditation, and media, revealing the hidden aspects of the landscape.

In this context, Gijeong Goo investigates solutions using technology to address vision problems caused by smartphone use and overexposure to media, expressing images that discover the extraordinary within everyday walking environments. By blending 3D virtual spaces with real nature through images and sounds, the artist explores the boundary between nature and artificiality, proposing a new perception that crosses the boundaries of reality and virtuality.

This exhibition, which emphasizes the process of meditation and perception through media, encourages the audience to not simply compare and consume images but to engage in an experience of contemplation and transformation. Through this process, the project aims to foster a new understanding and interpretation at the intersection of nature and media art at the Seoho Museum of Art, marking the beginning of the “2024 Project Route.”
