Son Donghyun graduated from the Department of Eastern Painting at Seoul National University (2005) and completed a master’s course at its graduate school (2014). He has been working as an exclusive artist at Gallery 2 since 2007.
Noblesse Collection announced that it will
participate, in collaboration with ArtNow China, in “West Bund Art &
Design” (hereafter West Bund), taking place from the 10th to the 13th at the
West Bund Art Center in Shanghai.
West Bund is one of Shanghai’s leading art
fairs, launched in 2014. Last year, 131 galleries and brands—including
Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, and Lisson Gallery—participated, presenting more
than 4,000 works. The fair is reported to have generated media value amounting
to approximately USD 15.29 million.
At this year’s fair, ArtNow China, the
media partner, will operate the Forum Lounge, while Noblesse Collection will
present the VIP Lounge through the exhibition 《Contourless》.
The 《Contourless》 exhibition, held in the VIP Lounge, is curated by Noblesse Collection
in collaboration with artist Son Donghyun. It features a group exhibition of
ten Korean artists from various generations, including Kim Chong Hak, Kim Keun
Tai, Lee Bae, Kim Taek Sang, Lee Soojeong, Jung Yongguk, Soojung Lee, Son
Donghyun, Eunsil Lee, and Park Hyung Jin.
The 《Contourless》 exhibition booth is located adjacent to the Forum Lounge, where West
Bund’s art forums take place, and is expected to attract numerous figures from
the art world visiting both the forum and the exhibition.
Meanwhile, Noblesse Collection is an art
space established in 2016 by Noblesse Media International. It presents curated
exhibitions that allow readers of Noblesse to engage with current trends in
contemporary art, and also collaborates with brands and other galleries on
joint exhibitions.
