Yeesookyung’s work gathers discarded and wounded things to resurrect them as new beings, presenting fragments of life related to wounds and healing. By dismantling traditional forms and rebirthing them through a contemporary sculptural language, her work offers a visual meeting point between tradition and modernity.

Mythological female figures such as Bari, which have long appeared in the artist's work, are organically reimagined in this exhibition through rich imagination and meticulous craftsmanship, unveiling a vibrant, dynamic world before us.

In addition, this exhibition presents several key works by Yeesookyung, including pieces from her renowned “Translated Vase” series produced in collaboration with the Capodimonte Museum in Italy, the spiritually evocative “Moonlight Crown,” the automatist, myth-inspired paintings of “Flame,” and the dreamlike, poetic paintings from her new 2022 series “Oh Rose!”.
