Kim Tschoon Su graduated from the Department of Painting at Seoul National University and its Graduate School. He received his master’s degree from California State University (CSULA) and pursued further studies at New York University (NYU). From 1996, he served as Professor in the Department of Western Painting at Seoul National University until his retirement in 2022. He was appointed Visiting Researcher at the University of Alcalá, Spain, in 2003.
