Iron David is a hybrid mutant of authentic sculpture and character. The traditional sculpture and the contemporary character, Marvel’s Iron Man, are combined into one work. David, produced by Michelangelo, expresses the solemn determination and tension of the warrior ahead of the battle.

David’s body composition provides stability through the Contrapposto posture, and Iron Man also shows stability by placing the center of gravity on one foot in the same posture. Iron Man, like David, shows a firm determination to be ready before going to war.
